Renovation on deck for playground at Lake Harriet
Children who visit Lake Harriet Regional Park can look forward to exploring a brand new playground, as the old playground, just north of the bandshell at Lake Harriet, is scheduled to be renovated. The playground equipment, which is over thirty years old, will be replaced with updated equipment that conforms to current safety and accessibility standards.
Park staff anticipate that public meetings regarding playground development will take place this fall. Watch this space for information regarding opportunities to participate. Once the meeting details have been determined, the information will be posted on this page.
Funding for the Lake Harriet playground renovation is provided through a grant from the Parks and Trails Fund, part of the Minnesota Legacy Amendment.
