Bottineau Park Skate Park Dedication
Grab your skate board, rollerblades and BMX bikes and join the celebration

The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board is pleased to announce the Bottineau Park Skate Park Dedication on:

Saturday - May 20, 2006
11:30 am - 2:00 pm
Ceremony at 12:15 pm
Bottineau Park
2000 2nd Street NE

In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony, festivities will include demonstrations, prizes, music, and a skate jam.

Local youth were consulted in the planning of these Tier 1 (equipment has a four-foot maximum height) skate park. The new skate park is six-thousand square feet of concrete and provides a safe environment that invites riders of all ages to practice their skills and learn from each other as they engage in this increasingly popular sport.

Experienced skaters from local skate shops will demonstrate and teach tricks and skills, and offer tips for getting the most out of these new facilities. Riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join in the fun, engage in some skate talk, and skate to the beat of your favorite music in the skate jam.
